This Stela grew from a deep impression of an aspect of Guatemalan mysticism. The figure is 'Holy Boy' , a trickster, breathing life into the Natural World. Above his head, occupying much of the stelas's space, is the archetecture of the Industrial Era.
On the back of the stela is a mantra, also in stoneware, spelled out by animal forms merging with letters.
